Festival of Lights
When: Saturday, December 7, 2019
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Where: Crist Park 105 5th St.
Frederick, CO 80530
In addition to the lighting of the trees in Crist Park, this event will be full of festive cheer including free horse-drawn carriage rides, a live ice sculpture demonstration resulting in an interactive ice sculpture, selfies with Santa, festive holiday performances by our local school choirs and carolers.
Schedule of Events:
5:30 pm: Parade it Forward - a festive parade of lights benefiting our community
6 pm: Countdown and tree lighting in the park
6 pm - 8 pm: Free Carriage Rides. Boarding on Main street between 4th and 5th streets
6 pm - 8 pm: Visits and selfies with Santa will be in the museum
6 pm - 8 pm: Ice Sculpture and free hot chocolate and cookies in the park
6 pm - 8 pm: What the Dickens?! roaming carolers
Performances in the gazebo by our local school choirs!
New for 2019 - Parade It Forward Parade of Lights
Join us a bit earlier at 5:30 pm in downtown Frederick for the first ever Parade It Forward - a festive parade of lights benefiting our community. Everyone is encouraged to bring a can of food or $1 to benefit Carbon Valley Help Center to exchange for a cup of hot cocoa and a cookie in the park (right after the parade)! It's free to be in the parade, but be sure to enter HERE!
